Super Naturalism is the project of British-born, Copenhagen-based artist Hayden Lloyd. Working across ambient, drone, noise and musique concrète, his music combines resampling, found sound and field recordings to build dense, shifting layers that favour grit, ambiguity and texture.Live performances centre on a modular system alongside samplers, cassettes, radio and electromagnetic receivers. These disparate sound sources are accumulated, processed and folded into one another, creating slowly evolving pieces that sit somewhere between composition, collage and improvisation.Hayden has released music through independent tape labels for over a decade under various aliases, including Raen Arthur, Piercing Blake and 785AD, and previously hosted regular radio shows on Balamii Radio and Camp Radio. Based in Copenhagen since 2019, he now works as Super Naturalism, bringing music and visual work together under a single evolving project.
